![]() | Ian Paterson M: +64 21 193 00 93 His only time spent living outside the area was for a short 8 year period with the NZ Army. In 1982 Ian left the Army and moved, with his wife Jude, back south, this time to Queenstown where they still reside today. Having been a hands on manager, Ian has a good understanding of what is involved in running a hospitality business. He is a very firm believer that the Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure sectors are very resilient industries. The people who become involved in owning or managing businesses within these industries become very creative and adaptable to changing circumstances and this is what makes it an exciting industry to be involved with. Outside of work, Ian closely follows most sports and generally supports any Otago and Southland team whenever they take on opposition based north of the Waitaki River. He is heavily involved in Cricket Administration and is a Board Member (past Chairman) of the Otago Country Cricket Association. For the past six years he has been the President of the Queenstown Cricket Club and has filled various team management and liaison roles with the Otago Cricket Association and also with NZ Cricket. Ian is proud to be the TourismProperties.com Business Broker for the Southern Lakes / Otago Central regions, an area that stretches from Makaroara to Daneys Pass, Ranfurly, Roxbourgh, Mossburn, Manapouri, Te Anau and Milford Sound with major activity in Cromwell, Alexandra, Queenstown and Wanaka. |
