Background

Winnie Bagoes (Winnies) originated in Lichfield Street, Christchurch in 1994. The move to Gloucester Street allowed Winnie Bagoes to evolve to a larger more versatile premises providing the opportunity to provide added value options to our customers.

Winnies without doubt provides a unique kiwi experience and offers New Zealand's finest gourmet pizzas. Winnies has become iconic in Christchurch and has developed a reputation nationwide as New Zealand's top gourmet pizza bar.

This is the very reason Winnies exists and is testament to its vibrant presence in the restaurant scene for 13 years thus far and the reason for growth and expansion into the years ahead. We value the quality of the pizza produced and understand that it is the very reason that people principally come through the door.

Winnies uses its own exclusive recipes and uses fresh ingredients daily. Everything is produced from its raw state on site; from breads which are baked daily through to cooking off all raw products, (mainly meats) which are infused with Winnies own marinades. Base pastes, aioli and dressings are also custom made.

We pride ourselves on quality and quantity which equates to value for money. Combine this with our personal, friendly service, and unique atmosphere and you have all the ingredients for a memorable dining experience.
