BUSY & SUCCESSFUL 72' STEEL CHARTER YACHT & BUSINESS FOR SALE BASED IN OPUA/ PAIHIA, BAY OF ISLANDS, NORTHLAND, NEW ZEALAND. IF IT IS A LIFESTYLE FULL OF FUN & ADVENTURE YOU SEEK, LOOK NO FURTHER!!

Founded in 2000, Ecocruz is currently the ONLY SCHEDULED Overnight Sailing Cruise in the Bay of Islands and has been described as "the busiest charter yacht in the bay". It is a 3 day/ 2 night cruise departing twice a week between October and May.

Aimed at the independent traveller market, the cruises are suitable for anyone above the age of 7 and are popular with people looking to experience the Bay in a personal, down to earth atmosphere. The emphasis lies on the appreciation of the marine environment by means of a range of outdoor activities such as sailing, kayaking, snorkelling, fishing and walking. Trips depart every Tuesday and Friday between October and May and passenger numbers are limited to 10 to ensure a personal atmosphere and a quality experience.

Designed to give passengers the opportunity to fully explore and experience the Maritime Park, the Yacht is fully equipped with:

  • Seven sea kayaks,
  • Wetsuits,
  • Snorkeling Gear
  • Fishing Gear
  • A reference library
  • A support vessel

Ecocruz operates for seven months of the year and is organized to be a two-three person operation. It generates good cash flow and has been growing steadily with realistic growth potential. Fully booked for the next two months and with enquiries through to November next year, including charter work available in July, this business is worth a serious look by anyone looking to get into the tourism and leisure industry. Ecocruz is set up as a lifestyle business providing enjoyable work in summer and sufficient time off in winter. However, there are opportunities for winter work in the Bay of Islands as well as off shore. Should it be required the vendors are prepared to give comprehensive assistance to get new owners licensed and familiar with the business.

This is a great lifestyle for an active couple. Work 7 months, have 5 months off.

I invite you to contact me for sound advice.
