Bombay Palace situated at 68 Forth Street, in the CBD of Invercargill, and is offered for sale as a Freehold Going Concern. This extensive complex currently houses both a large restaurant and bar operation, with private dining rooms, and a takeaway operation with it’s own entrance. Featuring specious seating and stunning individual dining rooms. There are large areas of the building that are currently only used as storage, but these areas could be developed into other business opportunities, so there is plenty of room for development. This restaurant is designed in a manner that could facilitate a change of cuisine if desired at minimal expense.
This business returned to similar profitability and turnover after the COVID-19 lockdown, which demonstrates that this great local business is highly frequented and supported by locals, and is not dependent on tourists.

A taste of India in New Zealand ★★★★★
We found this restaurant whilst staying in Invercargill, it had good reviews on trip advisor, so gave it a go.
The staff are friendly and very courteous, also knowledgeable about the different choices.
We both had something different, and both meals were excellent, Arriving quickly, even though they were busy.
I would recommend anyone staying here to give this restaurant a try..
Authentic Indian dinner in Invercargill ★★★★★
Absolutely delicious food, impeccable service, and very nice table settings Our only negative was the Bollywood television screening. It distracts from the overal perfection and ambience.
Bombay Palace Indian Restaurant in Invercargill, NZ ★★★★★
My wife and I were looking for and trying to decide where to dine on our one night in Invercargill, South Island New Zealand. We were searching options on the web when we ran across the Bombay Palace. The reviews were good and as we found out deservedly so. The food and service was top notch. We started with an order of the Hara Buhara Kebab. Spinach, potato’s, peas and cheese with herbs and spices. It was very good. For our main, which we shared, we selected the Meen Moiree, Which is a tandoor grilled fish in a coconut curry with onions, tomatoes, ginger and garlic. Accompanied with garlic Naan bread. Oh my goodness!! Jan and I really loved the Bombay Palace and highly recommend it to anyone who likes really authentic and delicious Indian food. I lived in India for six years when I was very young and developed a love for the cuisine which carries through to today. Thanks to the Bombay Palace for a great meal.
✓ Delicious meals & good size portions. Best Saagwala we have ever had, also onion bhaji’s & samosa!!
✓ Beautiful food love the chicken tikka masala. lovely staff
✓ Always my fave but today’s lunch was outstanding. The best tandoori chicken ever. Everything was perfect, fresh and juicy. Thank you!
✓ Great food, authentic flavors and awesome service, will be coming back for sure P.s: great tandoori!!!
5/5 | The staff is very friendly, the restaurant clean and tidy. Also love the music in the background, all on point.
If you’re vegan and looking for excellent Indian food this is the place.
4/5 | The outside of this restaurant does not reflect the inside. Beautifully layed out, clean, pristine restaurant. Great quality curries.
5/5 | Just happened to pass by this beautiful town in South NZ and came across Bombay Palace. We were not very hungry and were in a hurry so just ordered Paranthas (Aloo, Paneer) with yougurt and tea.. Paranthas were stuffed heavily and one was enough for a person. We left half parantha as my kiddo could only eat half. They have a separate area for takeaways. Ambience 5* Food 5* Washrooms 5*
4/5 | Tasty indian food. We got the all you can eat curry
