A friendly place to stay, very welcoming and cosy. Rooms are warm (winter), bathrooms and kitchen are nice and the staff is lovely. I regret I’ve not been there in summer to enjoy the barbecue and the tree house !


My partner and I really enjoyed our 2-night stay at The Villa. The ‘private room with shared facilities’ was clean and simple, the bedding was comfortable and cute as pictured. We didn’t use the kitchen a great deal but when we did it had everything we needed. We had our own car and parking was convenient and right out the front. The WiFi worked well. The staff at check-in and throughout our stay were friendly. We’d choose to stay again if we were in the area.


Amazing 2 night stay for 2 mature ladies on an adventure starting in Picton at The Villa. We happily shared the 10-bed dorm room with all the other (somewhat younger!) adventurers and it was better than we expected! Was a fantastic stay and we had everyone interacting and sharing together with us. Only feedback would be please fix the hotplates and label to identify what I am cooking on. Pretty clean and tidy with enough of everything to use. Great location and space for everyone. Highly recommend Tirohanga Track – the hilltop summit hike for sunset… lots of UP but highly worth it… an easy walk from The Villa. thanks so much The Villa… hope to see you on the way back up north.
